One Degree Community Resource Library

  • One Degree is a FREE online resource platform and mobile app that helps Los Angeles County residents, as well as healthcare providers, professionals, and staff that serve them, to quickly find and access free and low-cost services and resources in their neighborhood. 

  • Los Angeles County Department of Health Services has partnered with One Degree to help individuals and families access the resource they need to improve their lives and achieve social and economic mobility. 

  • The resources on One Degree are kept updated with verification every 6 months and can be accessed from any internet-enabled device in both English and Spanish.

  • Users can also access Common App to apply for benefits programs such as CalFresh and Covered California (Medi-Cal). 

AVENUE student champions are compiling a community asset map to catalogue available resources, services, and programs in the Antelope Valley. Check back soon for updates!

 
 

@AV2Wellness Instagram

  • The new instagram page @av2wellness  was created to meet the needs of youth in the AV by sharing info about free events & local resources with posts, stories and highlights reels so youth have quick access to what is happening in their communities.

  • Community members and encouraged to engage and follow to be up to date about the latest resources.

  • ACEs Aware – Learn about how adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) impact children and families, and how you as a provider can support

  • DMH UCLA Wellbeing for LA Learning Center – DMH + UCLA Public Partnership for Wellbeing is proud to offer a collection of resources and opportunities for support to frontline workers, county employees, school staff, and care professionals during the COVID-19 pandemic

  • Los Angeles County Immigrant Youth Toolkit – A provider-facing toolkit and resource database with information for medical providers, social workers, case managers, teachers or school officials and anyone else who may work with immigrant youth and families

  • UCLA Pritzker Center for Strengthening Children and Families – Access free trainings and webinars offered by the Pritzker Center, a multidisciplinary network across UCLA's campus and throughout LA County dedicated to identifying prevention strategies that safely reduce the need for foster care, while supporting equitable reform to our child welfare system

  • National Child Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN) – Access free trainings and other resources for the public, professionals, and others who care about children and are concerned about child traumatic stress
