About Us

Antelope Valley Engagement Network United for Equity

AVENUE was founded in 2020 with the support of the UCLA Pritzker Center for Strengthening Children and Families to provide all families in the Antelope Valley with high-quality trauma-informed care.  AVENUE represents staff from Los Angeles County Department of Health Services (DHS) dedicated to achieving this through collaboration with other Los Angeles County agencies such as the Department of Mental Health, Department of Public Health, Department of Child and Family Services, and other community partners.

Our Mission

Through staff education, community asset mapping, and engaging with our “medical neighborhood,” we aim to foster connection, collaboration, and community between DHS health centers and community partners to improve the health and wellbeing of all members of our AV community.
